CranioSacral Therapy (CST):
is a light touch and noninvasive technique that works deeply! Your CranioSacral system is the membrane around the brain and spinal cord, the meninges. Within this membrane is cerebral spinal fluid. Which has a subtle movement to it. Since this is part of your central nervous system, this movement essentially has a wave movement out into the body and back in. A common misconception is that this is all there is to CST. Monitoring the rhythm. CST also works with the connective tissues in the body. Where you can also feel this rhythm.
Connective tissues, “connect” everything in the body. Wrapping around all muscles, bones, organs, arteries, ligaments, tendons, the brain, spinal cord, etc... Everything in the body has an outer covering down to each every cell. It may change names, but essentially it is one continuous sheath from head to toe. If the fascia is tight around a muscle, then the muscle won't be able to relax. That message may be sent to the brain. Therefore, the brain sends a signal out that something is wrong. Creating a tension pattern.
CranioSacral Therapy approaches the body as a whole.
